Course Learning Outcomes (CLO)

CLO 1: Demonstrate a broad and coherent knowledge of general business and accounting principles, practices and processes.

CLO 2: Be able to review, critically analyse, consolidate and synthesise knowledge in business, accounting and related disciplines.

CLO 3: Demonstrate cognitive, technical application and creative skills in critical thinking, reasoning and judgement in identifying and solving problems with intellectual rigour, independence and initiative.

CLO 4: Demonstrate communication skills to present a clear, concise, coherent and independent exposition of knowledge and ideas to a range of audiences appropriate for the business (and other) fields.

CLO 5: Apply and adapt knowledge and skills in diverse contexts.

CLO 6: Demonstrate an understanding of the professional and ethical requirements of the accounting profession (and related disciplines) and apply these core principles, concepts, and frameworks in given contexts.

CLO 7: Demonstrate the ability to be responsible and accountable for one’s own learning within the realm of ‘life-long’ learning and to broadly understand the accounting profession’s (and related disciplines) CPD requirements for maintaining best practice and keeping up to date with technical (and other) professional knowledge.
